Though, many tell me that the later books are much better. |

I thought it was above average, but it still wasn't really interesting enough for me to think it was worth the time to read. I keep waiting for something to happen but the whole of the book never seemed to go anywhere. When I think about it it seems like a sci-fi conversion of the classic harrypotter/narnia children swept from a strict adult world into a mystical school--not my thing at all. When I complain about this to people who have read the series though, I have often been told that the later book are much much better. |

potter appears as a cheap rip-off of lotsa fantasy drivel.
ender blazes new SF ground. Card is an inspired writer.
potter is re-warmed hash. each time i saw a new potter book released,
and the enthusiam of young readers, i gagged. they could have been reading heinlien. |
